Hanamushi's Doll Adventure Hat Locations

Track headwear by wardrobe position and story checkpoint, including the house route, flower-like headwear, and later cat-like ears.

Track hats and headwear from the top wardrobe group, then tie every newly filled position to the last named scene you completed. Current footage provides useful visual anchors—red eye-like headgear, yellow flower-like headwear, and later cat-like ears—but public evidence does not yet support a complete official 48-item location table. Use the route checklist below to find the missing segment without inventing names.

Start with a clean headwear audit

Open the book-like wardrobe and focus only on the top group. Screenshot the entire group and the doll preview. Number visible positions from left to right and top to bottom. Mark the selected piece separately from collected positions.

Do not count body garments or footwear toward the headwear list. The official 48 total covers all costume types, so the number of hats is not proven to be 48 or one-third of 48. Your live wardrobe determines the actual headwear count.

When an item has no visible official English name, use a visual label and position. Red eye-like headgear, top group is reproducible; a fan nickname copied from an old walkthrough may not be.

Opening woodland and house checkpoints

Check headwear after The Tree Monster and The Wall Posters. Those early scenes teach the interaction loop and may change the wardrobe between travel steps. Photograph the top group after each badge rather than waiting until the end of the house route.

Check again after The Pom-Pom Girl and House of the Twins. Current footage leaves the twin-house stretch with additional headwear before moving toward the horned pair and Robot Factory. Compare the room-completion state, then open the wardrobe before traveling onward.

If the book changes but the doll preview does not, the piece is collected but unequipped. Select it once, confirm the preview, and decide whether to keep it for the next scene.

Horned pair and flower-like headwear

Inspected October 2026 footage shows yellow flower-like headwear near the horned-pair stretch after the house route. Treat this as a Community reported visual checkpoint, not an official item name or exact reward rule.

If the corresponding wardrobe position is missing, return to the transition between House of the Twins and Robot Factory. Inspect character reactions and any unresolved scene object before replaying the whole opening. Record the outfit and badge state so you can distinguish a missing reward from an unequipped piece.

Do not assume the flower appearance proves a power. Use it to compare your wardrobe and route; test any obstacle reaction in the live game.

Machine and Nine Eyes route

Check the headwear group after Robot Factory, the magnet crossing, and Nine Eyes. The mechanical torso is a body item, so do not mistakenly mark it as headwear. The separation matters when a video changes several pieces in a short interval.

Later footage shows cat-like ears in scenes beyond the machine route. If those ears are absent, compare the wardrobe immediately after Nine Eyes and again after the snail/catching-bug stretch. This narrows the missing route segment without claiming an unsupported exact pickup screen.

Use the Nine Eyes guide if an unresolved eye pattern is blocking the next headwear checkpoint.

Late route and cleanup sweep

Check after Mushrooms and the Snail, The Bug-Catching Bug, and The Bulb Birds. These badges divide the late route into three manageable searches. At each one, photograph the headwear group before changing the selected piece.

After Game Clear, compare your final screenshot with earlier ones. Find the first image where each gap appears. A gap present from the opening needs an early sweep; a gap that appears only after the factory likely belongs to a later route check or an overlooked wardrobe position.

The October 13 walkthrough continues from Game Clear into a costume-completion section. Use that section to compare scene order and wardrobe positions, but require your own filled slot or Costume Complete badge as proof.

Troubleshooting a missing hat

Confirm that the wardrobe position is empty, not merely unselected. Then locate the last screenshot where the position was still empty and the first where a video shows a comparable piece. Revisit only that route range. Check the named puzzle badge and visible character reaction before leaving the area.

If a guide supplies a name that the game does not show, search by the visual position and scene instead. Never reset progress or delete data to fix a collection gap without knowing the current save behavior.

Frequently asked questions

How many hats are there?

The official total is 48 costumes across hats, clothes, and shoes. The exact headwear count has not been independently verified for this guide.

Are cat ears required for a puzzle?

Current footage shows cat-like ears in later scenes, but the precise requirement needs live testing. Treat them as a route comparison and wardrobe target.

What still needs in-game testing?

The complete headwear list, official names, exact pickup scenes, ability rules, missability, and save synchronization remain unverified. Use this page as a route-indexed checklist, not a claim of a complete location database.
