Hanamushi’s Doll Adventure has an official target of 48 costumes. The number comes from the Costume Complete badge, and the experience description separately tells players to collect clothes, hats, and shoes. Current Roblox footage shows those as three independent wardrobe groups with a large doll preview. Use the wardrobe itself as the authoritative checklist while public item names and individual locations remain incomplete.

The three guides below split the search by slot: hat locations, clothes locations, and shoe locations. Each page uses named story checkpoints and visible wardrobe positions rather than inventing a complete item list from the older Flash game.

Read the wardrobe correctly

The book-like wardrobe shows headwear near the top, body clothing in the middle, and footwear near the bottom in inspected footage. A large doll preview appears on the other page. Selected pieces are visibly marked, while collected but unequipped pieces remain available in their category.

Treat each category as a separate inventory. A fully dressed preview proves only that one item is selected in each slot. It does not prove every slot in the collection is filled. Likewise, changing shoes does not remove an owned hat or body garment.

Take a screenshot before and after every major route segment. Mark missing positions by category, row, and nearby visual shape. When the game does not show an official English item name, a neutral label such as Headwear: top row, beside red eye-like piece is more reliable than a fan-made name.

Wardrobe audit card

SlotWhat to recordKnown visual examples
HeadwearEvery filled and empty position, selected circle, last scene checkedRed eye-like headgear, yellow flower-like headwear, cat-like ears
Body clothingGarment position, doll preview, obstacle reactionBlue dress, brown garment, mechanical torso
FootwearPair position, selected state, scene where it appearedGreen footwear visible in a recorded wardrobe frame

These examples are Community reported visual anchors from October 2026 footage, not a complete official item-name list. Use them to compare screens, not to claim the category contains only those pieces.

Organize the search by route segment

Start with the opening woodland and house. Check the wardrobe after Tree Monster, Wall Posters, Pom-Pom Girl, and House of the Twins. Current footage shows a blue body garment around the house and additional headwear after the twin sequence. A screenshot at each badge can reveal which wardrobe positions changed.

Continue through Robot Factory and the magnet crossing. Current footage connects a mechanical torso with the crossing, making it an especially useful body-clothing checkpoint. Record whether the torso is merely collected or actually equipped.

For the later route, check after Nine Eyes, Mushrooms and the Snail, Bug-Catching Bug, and Bulb Birds. Cat-like ears appear in later footage, while other head, body, and feet changes occur between chapters. Treat every badge as a save point for your checklist even when a piece is obtained between named scenes.

After Game Clear, compare all three wardrobe categories before deciding the story run was also a collection run. Current public award totals show Costume Complete is far rarer, so many players reach the ending with missing pieces.

Build a 48-position checklist without guessing names

Create one numbered list per visible wardrobe category. The combined total should be checked against the official 48-costume target, but do not force an equal split between hats, clothes, and shoes unless the live interface proves it. Record only positions you can see.

For every filled position, add the earliest scene where you confirmed it. For every gap, add the last two route segments you checked. This turns an unknown item into a practical search plan: Body gap 6 — house checked, factory not checked is actionable even without a name.

Use three statuses:

  • Collected: the position is filled in the wardrobe.
  • Equipped: the doll preview shows the piece now.
  • Route checked: you inspected the relevant scene after the latest visible update.

Do not mark an item collected because it appeared on another character or in a video. Your own wardrobe position is the completion evidence.

Story route and collection route are separate

The official Game Clear record and Costume Complete record are distinct. Costume Complete, ID 1889268007779401, explicitly says “Collected all 48 costumes.” Game Clear’s original Japanese description refers to reaching the end of the story, despite a conflicting English display description.

Choose your session goal before backtracking. For a story run, equip pieces needed for the next obstacle and continue toward the rocket. For a collection run, stop at every named scene, open the wardrobe, and update all three lists. Switching goals without a note leads to repeated puzzles and missed wardrobe gaps.

Use video evidence as a comparison tool

The October 13 video labels Game Clear around 14:42 and Costume Complete around 21:44, showing that collection cleanup continues beyond the story milestone in that run. Use wardrobe frames to compare category positions and scene outfits. A video title claiming “all costumes” is not enough by itself; the official badge supplies the total, and your wardrobe confirms your own progress.

Missing-piece recovery plan

Missing headwear

Recheck character and puzzle reactions from the opening house through the later creature route. Compare the headwear page after every badge.

Open hat route

Missing body clothing

Recheck the house garment and Robot Factory/magnet stretch first, then compare later route changes.

Open clothes route

Missing shoes

Audit the bottom wardrobe group independently and record footwear at each scene transition.

Open shoe route

All positions filled, no badge

Wait for the live game to register, re-open the wardrobe, and verify the official badge page before resetting anything.

Frequently asked questions

Are there exactly 48 visible wardrobe positions?

The official badge says 48 costumes, but the exact category split and interface counting need live confirmation. Count the current book rather than assuming an even distribution.

Can I mix hats, clothes, and shoes?

Current footage shows independent selections and a combined doll preview. That supports mixing categories, although individual obstacle effects remain version-sensitive.

Are old Flash costume locations valid?

Not automatically. The Roblox release is a reconstruction with puzzle adjustments. Use old material only after the same item and location are confirmed in current Roblox footage or play.

What still needs in-game testing?

Every official item name, the full 48-position category split, precise pickup locations, missability, save behavior, and post-ending access need direct verification. The total, three collection types, and visible wardrobe structure have stronger evidence.
